October 30th

Hi all!

I am having so much fun with these! Thank you for everyone who has been coming. It has been such a blessing to me and my family :-). We had 80+ kids participating this week!  I'm going to have sign-in sheets from here on out, so make sure your kids either sign in, or check the box next to their name each week so I can kind of keep track of how many people are here. Also, please make sure that I have a good phone number to text or an email address to email if you attend a lot of these. That way if I am sick or need to cancel last minute for some other reason, I can let you all know.

I promise...no irrigation this week! :-D Also, hopefully the weather cools down like the forecast says it will!

For those of you are wondering...right now we are planning to meet the day after Thanksgiving, but that might change. I'll let you know if it does.

Requests:

If you have been gifted in the ability to teach larger groups, and would like to, and are not otherwise needed, we could use some help with running Group A and Group B. This would not be every week and I would be happy to come up with activities for you if necessary--I just need someone to help facilitate the activities. Let me know if this is something you would like to do.

Also...we need more balls. If you would like to bring a ball, that would be helpful. All kinds of balls...beach balls, volleyballs, basketballs, whiffle balls... We can incorporate whatever we get into various games.

Finally... we would really like to build a 9 square court for PE days (especially for Groups B and C). If you would like to donate a 2 inch x 10 foot PVC pipe for the cause, that would be really helpful. We need 30 of them altogether.

Here is what is on the agenda for next week:

Schedule for Friday, October 30, 2020

From 10-Noon(ish) we will break into group activities:

Group A-- Ages 5-8

You will be doing PE this week...Parachutes! This is a fun project for large groups and we should have a few parachutes to play with. Looking forward to seeing all the fun!

Materials Needed:

Tennis shoes and comfortable clothes

Group B-- Ages 9-12

You will be doing Gardening this week. Ms. Paula will be working with you on the basics of planting. Please be prepared to get dirty. If you want to wear gardening gloves, please bring your own. Afterwards, we should have time for some journaling. If your child has something from the Garden project that they would like to share with everyone, please email a photo to me at: ladyliane@yahoo.com and I will display it on the blog :-).

Materials Needed:

Journal or a Sketch Pad (or both)

We will have some crayons/markers, but you should bring your own pen/pencil also.

Group C-- Ages 13-18

You will be working with the horses this week. We will be going over the basics of Roundpenning, how horses communicate, grooming, and then you will split into teams and decorate a miniature horse in a "costume" which Group A will vote on. Should be fun!

Materials Needed:

None

Movement Therapy/Stretching with Paula

After the group activities, Paula will host a Movement Therapy/Stretching class in the front yard area. Please let Ms. Paula know if you are wanting to do this class. She doesn't want to interfere with anyone's fun by announcing it is happening, but she would love to come get you if you are wanting to stretch with her. All body types/ strength levels are encouraged to attend. Paula is absolutely AMAZING. She designs her stretches based on the needs of the class, which she can see simply by how you normally move.

Picnic Lunch

Everyone is welcome to stay and have a picnic lunch in the backyard area. You are responsible for bringing your own lunch. Please do not feed any animals with that lunch and please make sure all garbage is disposed of in the dumpster or garbage can.
