LAST Baby Goat Update (for this year anyway...)

 Hi all!

We are finished with kidding season! Such a relief to finally be able to sleep again!

Saturday afternoon was a busy afternoon for us as both Cleopatra and Riley decided to have their babies simultaneously.  Cleopatra is my daughter, Ariana's goat, so it worked out perfectly that she was able to deliver Cleo's babies while I delivered Riley's babies in the next stall. As Riley pushed out her second kid, Cleo pushed out her first. It was an adventure!  Go to the bottom if you would like to watch videos of Ariana delivering her twin bucklings. 

The black and white doe, Riley, gave us a doeling named Gidget, and a buckling named Chuck.

The chocolate doe, Cleopatra (Cleo), gave us two bucklings named Emperor and Magnificent.

Thankfully, everyone is healthy and doing well!

All of the babies will be out in the pasture this Friday for viewing.

Magnificent was covered in meconium when he was born, which makes cleaning off his face and sucking out his mouth a little more urgent so he doesn't accidentally inhale it into his lungs.
