February 25th

Hi all!

Are you enjoying all of this rain?? Like last week, I'm still preferring warmer weather and less mud, but I'm happy for our plants :-).

We are starting get prepared for our goat kidding season. I made a post about what that means last year--click here for those of you who are interested in knowing more.  The dates are off on that post--this year we are expecting only three does to have kids and they are all happening in March. But just like last year, be prepared for everything scheduled on a Friday of a kidding to be null and void. When a goat goes into labor, my entire day is thrown off since I am at every birth.  Hopefully the goats will be nice and only kid in the middle of the week :-).

But, in the meantime, we have lots of fun planned for now!

Here is what is on the agenda for this week:

Schedule for Friday, February 25, 2022

From 10-Noon(ish) we will break into group activities:

Group A-- Ages 5-8

We will be talking about surface tension. The plan is bubbles, bubbles, bubbles. Who doesn't love bubbles?

Materials Needed: clothes that can get dirty and a good attempt at patience!

Group B-- Ages 9-12

You will be doing PE this week.  Be prepared for another round of kickball or some other fun team game that Mr. D has up his sleeves. And have FUN!!

Materials Needed: Tennis shoes, comfortable clothes and WATER.

Group C-- Ages 13-18

You will be doing Gardening this week. Please be prepared to get dirty.  If you want to wear gardening gloves, please bring your own. Come prepared to learn, since Ms. Paula is a wealth of information!

Please note: Teens are held to a slightly higher standard than the younger kids. If you choose not to participate in the activity of the day, we will "voluntell" you to help with the younger kids. A respectful, pleasant attitude is expected. You have been warned...
