Hi All!
I hope you had a magnificent Thanksgiving! We were able to have several friends over and enjoyed spending the day thanking God for His many blessings. I love Thanksgiving!!
And I love Christmas! Looking forward to this month. I love looking at lights and seeing smiles on everyone's faces. And, most importantly, I love being reminded that my God chose to humble Himself and come to earth as a baby so He could live a perfect sinless life in order to pay the price for my sin. There is no greater love.
Now onto other farm news...
Some sort of bad news for our Group B'ers and Group C'ers...
See these chickens?:
They may LOOK cute, but they are actually menaces! Despite surrounding the vegetable garden you all planted with electric fence, these little hooligans managed to go in and out of said garden repeatedly...and ate all your plants. Our repeated glaring at them does no good. And they are smart enough to stay away when I am out there with a hose (Ms. Paula is WAY too nice to soak them like they deserve!).
But we MAY have a solution. Ms. Paula is requesting everyone (Group A'ers included) to bring as many 2-liter bottles as possible, if you have them. She is going to try covering the plants until they get large enough to survive attacks. We are both hoping that the chickens will lose interest in them if they stop having access to them for a few weeks.
So please, if you have them, bring 2-liter bottles with you this Friday.
And now on to this week's activities:
Schedule for Friday, December 2, 2022
Group A-- Ages 5-8
You will be doing P.E. this week. Miss Honor has come up with lots of fun games to play with you all. Come prepared to run and have fun!
Please note: P.E. will be happening in the pasture. It is important that those in the pasture follow the code of conduct rules for the animals. No chasing animals. No picking up animals. Be nice to any animal that approaches you.
Parents, if your little ones tend to wander, please stay close by. You are responsible for taking your child to the restroom or providing them with water if they get thirsty. Try to remind them that this is a group activity, and they should try to stick with their group as much as possible. That will really help keep things flowing smoothly for everyone. <3
Materials Needed:
Sunscreen and Water Bottles...if you so desire.
And clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.
Group B--Ages 9-12
You will be doing the Project this week. We will be working on some wooden Christmas Ornaments. You will be doing some drilling, some woodburning and, if we have time, some varnishing. Come with an idea of what you might want on your ornament!
Materials Needed:
Sunscreen and Water Bottles...if you so desire.
Clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.
A great attitude!
Group C--Ages 13-18
You will be doing Gardening this week. You will be working with Ms. Paula to battle those chickens and learn some new skills. Come prepared to get dirty and have fun!
Materials Needed:
Sunscreen and Water Bottles...if you so desire.
Gardening gloves if you want to wear them.
Those teenagers that do not feel like participating in Gardening are welcome to volunteer with Group A. Please note: you WILL be put to work if you volunteer in that capacity!

Picnic Lunch
Everyone is welcome to stay and have a picnic lunch in the backyard area. You are responsible for bringing your own lunch. Please do not feed any animals with that lunch and please make sure all garbage is disposed of in the dumpster or garbage can.
