FINALLY the weather is cooperating! We will be meeting this Friday!
However, just a reminder, we will NOT be meeting next Friday, March 17th. Everyone should go visit the Pinal County Fair instead--that's where we'll be! My youngest son will be showing this goat (Patience):
So come cheer him on!
But, back to this week.
We will be switching things up a bit for this one week. Instead of three groups, this week we will only have two. Those of you who are 10+ will be working in the Garden with Ms. Paula. Those of you are under 10 will be doing P.E. with me (Mrs. Davis). As per usual, if you feel really inclined to join the other group, you are welcome to do so--this is just the basic set up for this week and the activities will be based on the relative strength levels and attention spans of those age groups.
Materials Needed for all ages:
Sunscreen and Water Bottles...if you so desire.
Clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.

Picnic Lunch
Everyone is welcome to stay and have a picnic lunch in the backyard area. You are responsible for bringing your own lunch. Please do not feed any animals with that lunch and please make sure all garbage is disposed of in the dumpster or garbage can.
Just a side note:
We did an interesting science lesson the other day. Sometimes during this time of year, the goats will occasionally get goat-specific lice that comes in on their hay. It is NOT transferrable to humans AT ALL. But they do cause their fur to feel rougher than normal. We have already treated the goats, so they should not have any more goat lice, however, before we did that, we took some samples to look at under the microscope. This is what we saw:
