November 22nd

 Hi All!

This will be the last Friday before Thanksgiving, so Happy Thanksgiving!  There will be No Co-op Next Friday, November 29th.

Please Note: Additional upcoming break days
There will be NO CO-OP on the following days:

November 29th (Thanksgiving Friday)
December 20th (Christmas)
December 27th (Christmas)

Also...don't forget, Goats and Chickens like Pumpkins!

And, in case you missed this, I wanted to let you all know about an upcoming opportunity (non-farm related):

My daughter and I will be performing in the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center musical, "Beauty and the Beast" later this month (we're townspeople). If you have been wanting to take your kids to a live theatrical performance, I HIGHLY recommend this one. First of all, despite the high-quality cast/production, QCPAC keeps their ticket prices really low ($10-$16 a ticket). They do that on purpose because they want to keep theater available to the community. Second, they are going to have a lot of extras for the kiddos this time around, including photos with Belle/other cast members after the show.

Performances are: November 23, 29, 30th and December 2nd. Evening Performances at 7 PM; Saturday Matinees at 2 PM.

Here's the link to buy tickets:

Schedule for Friday, November 22, 2024

From 10-Noon(ish) we will break into group activities:

Group A-- Ages 5-8

You will be doing Gardening this week. Come play in the dirt and enjoy some fresh air!

Materials Needed:

A water bottle to drink out of (if you think you may get thirsty)

Sunscreen...if you so desire.

Gardening gloves...if you so desire.

Clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.

Parents, if your little ones tend to wander, please stay close by. You are responsible for taking your child to the restroom or providing them with water if they get thirsty. Try to remind them that this is a group activity, and they should try to stick with their group as much as possible. That will really help keep things flowing smoothly for everyone. 💗

Group B--Ages 9-12

You will be doing the Project this week. As I mentioned with Group A and C, I will be doing three "Bible and Animals" projects this year--chickens will be the first, followed by horses in January and goats/sheep in February/March. The Bible uses animals as examples in several verses (and we happen to have a lot of those animals on the farm), but if you do not know about those animals, some of the richness of God's Word will not be quite as apparent. Whether you trust the Bible as God's Word or not, feel free to come and learn all about chickens this week.  (And yes, you will get to play with some real live chickens!)

Materials Needed:

Sunscreen and Water Bottles...if you so desire.

Clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.

A great attitude!

Group C--Ages 13-18

You are doing P.E. this week. Come get some exercise with Mr. D. Games will depend on how many people show up, but it will be fun!

Materials Needed:

Water bottles

Sunscreen/hat (you will be in the pasture)

Clothes/shoes you don't mind getting dirty.

Those teenagers that do not feel like participating in P.E. are welcome to volunteer with Group A. Please NOTE: you WILL be put to work if you volunteer in that capacity!

Picnic Lunch

Everyone is welcome to stay and have a picnic lunch in the backyard area. You are responsible for bringing your own lunch. Please do not feed any animals with that lunch and please make sure all garbage is disposed of in the dumpster or garbage can.
