December 13th

 Hi All!

As some of you know, we've had a couple of mama Muscovy ducks sitting on nests for the last few weeks.  I slacked a bit and forgot to check on them. Well, Monday we had one of the nests hatch, and I am very much in love:

The other nest should start hatching any day now.  I can't wait!

Just a reminder, there will be NO CO-OP on the following days:

December 20th (Christmas)
December 27th (Christmas)
January 4th (New Years)

And now on to this week's agenda

Schedule for Friday, December 13, 2024

From 10-Noon(ish) we will break into group activities:

Group A-- Ages 5-8

You will be doing P.E. this week. We have a special activity for P.E. this week. I will keep it a surprise for now, but I think you all will enjoy it!

Parents, if your little ones tend to wander, please stay close by. You are responsible for taking your child to the restroom or providing them with water if they get thirsty. Try to remind them that this is a group activity, and they should try to stick with their group as much as possible. That will really help keep things flowing smoothly for everyone.

Materials Needed:

Sunscreen if you so desire.

Water Bottles. (We do not have enough cups to provide water for all of the thirsty kiddos that come to the farm.)

Clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.

Athletic shoes with socks would be a good idea this week.

Group B--Ages 9-12

You will be doing Gardening this week. Ms. Paula is planning to do some harvesting and enjoying all the new flowers we have in the garden this week. It should be fun!

Materials Needed:

Sunscreen and Water Bottles...if you so desire.

Gardening gloves if you think you want them.

Clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting dirty and/or wet.

A great attitude!

Group C--Ages 13-18

You will be doing Project this week. I have a couple of different projects to choose from this week. We will see how many teens show up to decide which one for sure. See you Friday!

Materials Needed:

Sunscreen and Water Bottles...if you so desire.

A willingness to learn

Those teenagers that do not feel like participating in the Project are welcome to volunteer with Group A. Please note, you WILL be put to work if you volunteer in that capacity!

Picnic Lunch

Everyone is welcome to stay and have a picnic lunch in the backyard area. You are responsible for bringing your own lunch. Please do not feed any animals with that lunch and please make sure all garbage is disposed of in the dumpster or garbage can.
