March 28th

Hi All-

We were very blessed last week to have the DeSmith family from Victory Martial Arts Academy join us for our co-op P.E. They will be joining us again this week (and next). From what I hear, the kids had a great time and we're looking forward to the next two classes!  Hopefully you all enjoy it and give them a huge thank you!

For those who want to know more about them, here is their Facebook page:

Also, last week we did a story hour for the project with Group A. For those who are interested, the story I chose was called "The Ice Heist" published by Brave Books.  If you are looking for a good subscription to get in the mail for your kiddos, I highly recommend the Brave Books book club.  Great books and fun activities each month.

Now for the rest of this week's activities...

From 10ish-Noon(ish) we will break into group activities:

Please Note: if one of my goats goes into labor on a Friday morning, all plans for the day will be cancelled and we will have a free day

Group A-- Ages 5-8

You will be doing P.E. this week.  As mentioned above, P.E. for the next two weeks will be put on by Victory Martial Arts. They will be putting on an age-appropriate class and I'm sure the little ones will have a lot of fun!

Materials Needed:

A water bottle to drink out of (if you think you may get thirsty)

Sunscreen...if you so desire.

Clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.

Parents, if your little ones tend to wander, please stay close by. You are responsible for taking your child to the restroom or providing them with water if they get thirsty. Try to remind them that this is a group activity, and they should try to stick with their group as much as possible. That will really help keep things flowing smoothly for everyone. 💗

Group B--Ages 9-12

You will be doing the Gardening this week. This is the perfect time of year for playing in the dirt!  Come learn how to grow plants in AZ!

Materials Needed:

Sunscreen and Water Bottles...if you so desire.

Gardening gloves if you think you want them.

Clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting dirty and/or wet.

A great attitude!

Group C--Ages 13-18

You will be doing Project this week. It is that time of year to learn all about goat milk!  We will be learning how to make Farmer's Cheese (once again), along with other aspects of the milking process and some fun milk games. It should be a yummy week!

Materials Needed:

  • Sunscreen and Water Bottles...if you so desire.
  • And clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.
  • Garden gloves if you think you want them.

Those teenagers that do not feel like participating in the Project are welcome to volunteer with Group A. Please NOTE: you WILL be put to work if you volunteer in that capacity!

Picnic Lunch

Everyone is welcome to stay and have a picnic lunch in the backyard area. You are responsible for bringing your own lunch. Please do not feed any animals with that lunch and please make sure all garbage is disposed of in the dumpster or garbage can.
