Hi All!
We were so bummed to have to miss you all last week. Thankfully we weren't all that sick, but since we had fevers, I didn't want to risk getting you all sick too. We are all back to excellent health and looking forward to seeing everyone on Friday! (Though, please remember if you are showing symptoms, please stay home).
Here is what is on the agenda for this week:
From 10-Noon(ish) we will break into group activities:
Group A-- Ages 5-8
You will be doing PE this week. Not sure what Mrs. Wimberly has planned, but you know it is going to be something fun!
Parents, if your little ones tend to wander, please stay close by. You are responsible for taking your child to the restroom or providing them with water if they get thirsty. Try to remind them that this is a group activity and they should try to stick with their group as much as possible. That will really help keep things flowing smoothly for everyone. <3
Materials Needed:
Clothes to run in, tennis shoes, and a smile! And maybe a bottle of water if you get thirsty...
Group B-- Ages 9-12
You will be doing Gardening this week. You will be working on Garden Planning--you will be implementing the garden plans you worked on "last year" before break :-).
Materials Needed:
Gloves if you want them. A good attitude (always!). A willingness to get dirty. A smile (you're never fully dressed without one...)
Group C-- Ages 13-18
You will be doing a Project this week. It's that time of year when we have an abundance of lemons, so it's that time of year for lemon experiments! First and foremost, we will be making sugar water with lemons (i.e. lemonade). Highly important stuff. Secondly, we will be gardening with the lemons (because you missed gardening last week and I love you all enough to keep the gardening love going ;-) ). No matter what, we'll have fun! That's the plan anyway...
Materials Needed:
A willingness to get dirty. A good attitude. Bandaids over any cuts on your hands because lemon juice in cuts is not fun!

Movement Therapy/Stretching with Ms. Paula
After the group activities, Ms. Paula will host a Movement Therapy/Stretching class in the orchard area. Please let Ms. Paula know if you are wanting to do this class. She doesn't want to interfere with anyone's fun by announcing it is happening, but she would love to come get you if you are wanting to stretch with her. All body types/ strength levels are encouraged to attend. Ms. Paula is absolutely AMAZING. She designs her stretches based on the needs of the class, which she can see simply by how you normally move.

Picnic Lunch
Everyone is welcome to stay and have a picnic lunch in the backyard area. You are responsible for bringing your own lunch. Please do not feed any animals with that lunch and please make sure all garbage is disposed of in the dumpster or garbage can.
