Hi All!
And now onto the fun...
Here is what is on the agenda for this week:
From 10-Noon(ish) we will break into group activities:
Group A-- Ages 5-8
You will be doing Gardening this week. This week you will be getting to learn all about LEAVES! This may or may not involve some leaf jumping and feeding goats (depending on how many of the leaves my front trees decide to drop!) Please be prepared to get dirty. Don't wear your favorite shoes to the farm (probably not ever, but definitely not on garden days ;-) ). If you want to wear gardening gloves, please bring your own.
Materials Needed: A willingness to get dirty and a smile!
Group B-- Ages 9-12
You will be doing a Project this week. It's that time of year when we have an abundance of lemons, so it's that time of year for lemon experiments! First and foremost, we will be making sugar water with lemons (i.e. lemonade). You will get a chance to determine the best juicer and the correct amount of sugar/lemon/water ratio for lemonade deliciousness. Second and secondmost, we will be doing a STEM activity with the lemons--however, we are not going to attempt lemon batteries this year (I am such a Pinterest fail queen!). We'll be doing something else fun and exciting (hopefully!)...if you don't think it's fun, well you'll get to enjoy the beautiful 70* weather, so that's a bonus, right??
Materials Needed:
Nothing really, but feel free to bring a bag of sugar to donate to the cause if you'd like.
Group C-- Ages 13-18
You will be doing PE this week. And we're planning for...VOLLEYBALL! Should be tons of fun! Sunscreen and water bottles are recommended.
Materials Needed: Tennis shoes and comfortable clothes and WATER. LOTS of water!

Movement Therapy/Stretching with Ms. Paula
After the group activities, Ms. Paula will host a Movement Therapy/Stretching class in the orchard area. Please let Ms. Paula know if you are wanting to do this class. She doesn't want to interfere with anyone's fun by announcing it is happening, but she would love to come get you if you are wanting to stretch with her. All body types/ strength levels are encouraged to attend. Ms. Paula is absolutely AMAZING. She designs her stretches based on the needs of the class, which she can see simply by how you normally move.

Picnic Lunch
Everyone is welcome to stay and have a picnic lunch in the backyard area. You are responsible for bringing your own lunch. Please do not feed any animals with that lunch and please make sure all garbage is disposed of in the dumpster or garbage can.
