February 11th

Hi all!

Happy Wednesday!  Again, sorry I'm so late getting this email out. We WILL be meeting on Friday. However, since we had a few "off" weeks, I want to balance it out one more time to get back into a regular project routine. Also, I have been wanting to run PE for Group A for a while, so I'm taking this week off from Projects and playing with the younger kiddos (Insert heart eyes emoji here!)  This will hopefully be the last week of combining groups.

This will be our last puppy update as well...

We found homes for our last two puppies (that we aren't keeping).  If all works according to plan, "Black" and "Yellow" will be heading to their new home on Tuesday. I am so thankful that all of our puppies found amazing homes that truly appreciate the nature of livestock guardian dogs.

And on a random farm note...

We were grilling chicken legs last night.
Our backyard silkie is very brave.
(She did not get eaten, but she did roost there all night.)

And now on to the important stuff...

Here is what is on the agenda for this week:

Schedule for Friday, February 11, 2022

From 10-Noon(ish) we will break into group activities:

Group A-- Ages 5-8

You will be doing P.E. this week. I have all sorts of fun games that I've been wanting to play! I'm a bit excited :-D. As much as I love doing projects, I also really like just playing with the little ones. So much fun!

Parents, if your little ones tend to wander, please stay close by. You are responsible for taking your child to the restroom or providing them with water if they get thirsty. Try to remind them that this is a group activity, and they should try to stick with their group as much as possible. That will really help keep things flowing smoothly for everyone. <3

Materials Needed:

Sunscreen and Water Bottles...if you so desire.

And clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.

Group B--Ages 9-12

You will once again have a choice...you may join Group A with P.E., or you may join Group C with Gardening.  Dress accordingly for your chosen activity.

Group C--Ages 13-18

You will be doing Gardening this week. Ms. Paula has a lot of fun things planned to get the wildflower garden up and running to perfection (or something like it!).

Materials Needed:

Sunscreen and Water Bottles...if you so desire.

And clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.

Gloves if you think you'll need them.

A great attitude!

Those teenagers that do not feel like gardening are welcome to volunteer with Group A. Please note: I WILL make you work if you come help me!

Picnic Lunch

Everyone is welcome to stay and have a picnic lunch in the backyard area. You are responsible for bringing your own lunch. Please do not feed any animals with that lunch and please make sure all garbage is disposed of in the dumpster or garbage can.
