Hi All!
First a goat update:
Clover decided to have her baby at around 3:30 on Friday afternoon...in other words, she waited until you all were gone so she could have some privacy! :-D It was a little bit of a struggle to deliver her baby--a single buckling that Honor named Bronco. He was so big that he got stuck and we needed to help pull him out. Thankfully we were able to help and both mom and baby Bronco are doing fantastic.
Second, a weather update:
It rained. A lot. But since it looks like it isn't going to rain anymore, we SHOULD be dried out by Friday. That being said, check here before you come just to be safe. I will post on here if we are too muddy and need to cancel last minute, but I really don't think we will cancel.
And now on to the important things. Should we dry out sufficiently, these are the planned activities for Friday:
From 10-Noon(ish) we will break into group activities:
Group A-- Ages 5-8
You will be doing P.E. this week. We are very thankful to have Mrs. Wimberley back to run P.E. She's amazing! Be prepared to run and get dirty!
Parents, if your little ones tend to wander, please stay close by. You are responsible for taking your child to the restroom or providing them with water if they get thirsty. Try to remind them that this is a group activity, and they should try to stick with their group as much as possible. That will really help keep things flowing smoothly for everyone. <3
Materials Needed:
Sunscreen and Water Bottles...if you so desire.
And clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.
Group B--Ages 9-12
You will be doing Gardening this week. Ms. Paula has lots of fun things planned for you! Be prepared to learn...a lot!

Sunscreen and Water Bottles...if you so desire.
And clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.
Gloves if you think you'll need them.

Group C--Ages 13-18
You will be doing a Project this week. We have been working on protecting eggs from a fall with the other groups and you are going to get to try this as well. We will go over a bit of the physics behind egg protection and then you will get to design your own egg protector out of the allotted materials. A bit of trial and error is perfectly fine ;-).
Materials Needed:
Sunscreen and Water Bottles...if you so desire.
A willingness to play!
Those teenagers that do not feel like participating in the Project are welcome to volunteer with Group A. Please note: you WILL be put to work if you volunteer in that capacity!

Picnic Lunch
Everyone is welcome to stay and have a picnic lunch in the backyard area. You are responsible for bringing your own lunch. Please do not feed any animals with that lunch and please make sure all garbage is disposed of in the dumpster or garbage can.
