November 4th

Hi All!

Things that I didn't know I loved until they happened last Friday... 

Watching Group A make "shelter" to prepare for the "Blizzard" that was coming in our Oregon Trail game. So much fun! They did AMAZING! 

Also, although the tarring of the road was an inconvenience, I'm not going to lie--watching 30 of you climb over our back pasture fence to get back to your cars with all your strollers and accessories, was a bit amusing. I was super impressed with all of your teamwork and I think the kids felt like they had a whole new adventure!

Thank you for all who made the trek around our property to come hang out on Friday. I had a lot of fun--hopefully you all did as well!  

PLEASE NOTE: This Friday the high is looking like it will only be 62*...IN ARIZONA!  Bring your winter coats!! It's going to be a chilly day!

And now on to this week's activities:

Schedule for Friday, November 4, 2022

From 10-Noon(ish) we will break into group activities:

Group A-- Ages 5-8

You will be doing P.E. this week. Miss Honor has come up with lots of fun games to play with you all. Come prepared to run and have fun!  

Please note: P.E. will be happening in the pasture. There will not be a lot of shade. Please come prepared for the sun. And since the kids will be running around a lot, water bottles are helpful.  Also note, it is important that those in the pasture follow the code of conduct rules for the animals. No chasing animals. No picking up animals. Be nice to any animal that approaches you. 

Parents, if your little ones tend to wander, please stay close by. You are responsible for taking your child to the restroom or providing them with water if they get thirsty. Try to remind them that this is a group activity, and they should try to stick with their group as much as possible. That will really help keep things flowing smoothly for everyone. <3

Materials Needed: 

Sunscreen and Water Bottles...if you so desire. 

And clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.

Group B--Ages 9-12

You will be doing the Project this week. Since we have started November, I thought it was appropriate for the project to focus around Thanksgiving. We will be making pumpkin pies in a cup, adding a leaf to our Thankfulness Tree, and participating in some Thanksgiving minute-to-win it games. It will be fun! 

Materials Needed: 

Sunscreen and Water Bottles...if you so desire. 

Clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.

A great attitude!

Group C--Ages 13-18

You will be doing Gardening this week. You will be working with Ms. Paula to plant your winter vegetable garden (amongst other things). Come prepared to get dirty and have fun!

Materials Needed: 

Sunscreen and Water Bottles...if you so desire. 

Gardening gloves if you want to wear them.

Those teenagers that do not feel like participating in Gardening are welcome to volunteer with Group A. Please note: you WILL be put to work if you volunteer in that capacity!

Picnic Lunch

Everyone is welcome to stay and have a picnic lunch in the backyard area. You are responsible for bringing your own lunch. Please do not feed any animals with that lunch and please make sure all garbage is disposed of in the dumpster or garbage can.
