October 28th

 Hi All!

Nothing new to report this week, so I will just repeat my messages from last week ;-):

For those of you are interested in Renaissance Faires, knights and chivalry, I recommend checking out this sword fighting club that some of the teens in our co-op have started for the younger kids: Sword Wars (The blog is a work in progress ;-) ). They have put a lot of work into it and its worth checking out!

And for those of you who are interested in participating in a Yearbook for this Homeschool Co-op, here is a link for posting pictures. Even if you do not want to buy a yearbook, please feel free to post any pictures that you take here so that Josiah can collect them to put in the book:

And now onto this week's schedule...

Schedule for Friday, October 28, 2022

From 10-Noon(ish) we will break into group activities:

Group A-- Ages 5-8

You will be doing Project this week. You will be doing a simpler version of the Oregon Trail game the older kiddos got to play. Instead of teams, you will all be working together in one large caravan. You will navigate the trail and learn about what the pioneers had to do to survive by "building shelters," "hunting animals," and "surviving dysentery"...among other great skills--all in great fun, of course.

Parents, if your little ones tend to wander, please stay close by. You are responsible for taking your child to the restroom or providing them with water if they get thirsty. Try to remind them that this is a group activity, and they should try to stick with their group as much as possible. That will really help keep things flowing smoothly for everyone. <3

Materials Needed:

Sunscreen and Water Bottles...if you so desire.

Clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.

Group B--Ages 9-12

You will be doing Gardening this week. You will be out in the pasture where there isn't a lot of shade. Be prepared to be hot!  Sunscreen and water bottles are recommended.

Materials Needed:

Sunscreen and Water Bottles...if you so desire.

And clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.

Garden gloves if you think you want them.

Group C--Ages 13-18

You will be doing the P.E. this week.

Materials Needed:

Sunscreen and Water Bottles...if you so desire.

Clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.

A great attitude!

Those teenagers that do not feel like participating in P.E. are welcome to volunteer with Group A. Please note: you WILL be put to work if you volunteer in that capacity!

Picnic Lunch

Everyone is welcome to stay and have a picnic lunch in the backyard area. You are responsible for bringing your own lunch. Please do not feed any animals with that lunch and please make sure all garbage is disposed of in the dumpster or garbage can.
