April 21st

Hi All!

I hope you all are enjoying your week!  We are!  We had three ducklings hatch this afternoon. Baby duckies always makes us happy! Hoping a few more hatch by the end of the week.

Just a reminder, NEXT Friday, April 28th, will be our last co-op meet-up before the summer break. We will miss seeing you guys each week!  Make sure to check the blog periodically over break to see if a farm water day might be on the horizon...

And now on to this Friday's schedule...

From 10-Noon(ish) we will break into group activities:

Group A-- Ages 5-8

You will be doing Project this week. You will be making Rube Goldberg machines as well...on a MUCH smaller scale than that of Group B ;-).  Although Group B did FANTASTIC with their machines! (I tried to upload the video, but it wouldn't work.  Email me if you want a copy!)  Come prepared to some *mild* problem solving.

Parents, if your little ones tend to wander, please stay close by. You are responsible for taking your child to the restroom or providing them with water if they get thirsty. Try to remind them that this is a group activity, and they should try to stick with their group as much as possible. That will really help keep things flowing smoothly for everyone. <3

Materials Needed:

Sunscreen and Water Bottles...if you so desire.

And clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.

Group B--Ages 9-12

You will be doing P.E. this week. (I know...no one in Group B likes P.E. ;-) ).  Make sure you bring water and be prepared to run out in the pasture!

Materials Needed:

Sunscreen and Water Bottles...if you so desire.

Clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.

Group C--Ages 13-18

You will be doing Gardening this week. This will be your last chance to play in the dirt before summer break! Come prepared to learn a lot from Ms. Paula!

Materials Needed:

Tennis shoes and comfortable clothes

Water bottles

Sunscreen if you so desire

Garden gloves if you think you want them.

Those teenagers that do not feel like participating in Gardening are welcome to volunteer with Group A. Please note: you WILL be put to work if you volunteer in that capacity!

Picnic Lunch

Everyone is welcome to stay and have a picnic lunch in the backyard area. You are responsible for bringing your own lunch. Please do not feed any animals with that lunch and please make sure all garbage is disposed of in the dumpster or garbage can.
