February 16th

Hi Guys!

As I mentioned last week, this week will be a farm "Free Day". We will not have any organized activities this week, HOWEVER, you are still welcome to come and play (respectfully).  It is still quite muddy, but we have dried out enough that you can play safely.

For those of you who do not follow my goat facebook page, the last doe that was scheduled to have kids, ended up having an emergency c-section to deliver her still born, so we are still "only" at 21 goat kids. Because of that stress, we are going to have to be extra quiet when in the pasture--especially around the barn--so as not to stress her out. I will take small groups of kids (and parents) out to the pasture to see the baby goats (who are extra hyper this week!). Please do not attempt to go into the pasture on your own.

Also, we are in the process of getting last minute flowers prepared for my daughter, Honor's, wedding next week, so if anyone wants to help Ms. Paula in the garden, that is what they will be doing. We will ask people not to use the wildflower garden area tomorrow unless helping Paula, so our plants might not get trampled too badly ;-).

What to expect for the next month:

February 16th- Free Day/ Baby Goat Tour (we'll take turns)

February 23rd - No Co-op

March 1st - Normal Activities

March 8th - Normal Activities

March 15th - No Co-op (Go to the Pinal County Fair and watch your friends compete in the Dairy Goat Show instead ;-) )

March 23rd - Hopefully back to normal life!

And just for fun... a baby goat picture <3
