1st Day of Co-op October 24th

Hi All!

I hope you all are doing well! It has been a whirlwind last few months for us here.  The baby and I are home (as of the end of September) and have been spending the last few weeks getting settled in and attending dozens of doctor appointments. Then more unexpected baby ducklings arrived the week after we got home. Then the flood over the weekend helped complicate things further! So, with all that said, I will warn all of you that I am not even as prepared as I normally am not prepared ;-). But I feel like this community is important and I don't want to miss out on it any further. So, give us grace as we get going, but let's get started!

Friday, October 24th

From 10ish-Noon(ish) we will break into group activities:

Group A-- Ages 5-8

You will be doing Gardening. Ms. Paula requested that she start with our youngest group first this year. Hopefully we will be all dried out by then!

Materials Needed:

  • A water bottle to drink out of (if you think you may get thirsty)
  • Sunscreen...if you so desire.
  • Garden gloves if you think you want them.
  • Clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.

Parents, if your little ones tend to wander, please stay close by. You are responsible for taking your child to the restroom or providing them with water if they get thirsty. Try to remind them that this is a group activity, and they should try to stick with their group as much as possible. That will really help keep things flowing smoothly for everyone. 💗

Group B--Ages 9-12

You will be starting off the year with P.E..  Mr. D. requested Group B... because you guys are fun! Chances are good to great that he'll start you off with kickball again, but feel free to change his mind!

Materials Needed:

  • Athletic shoes of some sort
  • A water bottle--if you think you'll want something to drink
  • Sunscreen, if you so desire.
  • A great attitude!  (That is mandatory!)

Group C--Ages 13-18

You will be doing Project...which one remains to be seen, but it will be fun! I will be walking around with a baby this year, so I'm sure whatever project we do will not be too loud. Outside of that, I have a week and a half to figure out something great.

Materials Needed:

  • Sunscreen and Water Bottles...if you so desire.
  • And clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.

Those teenagers that do not feel like participating in the Project are welcome to volunteer with Group A. Please NOTE: you WILL be put to work if you volunteer in that capacity!

Picnic Lunch

Everyone is welcome to stay and have a picnic lunch in the backyard area. You are responsible for bringing your own lunch. Please do not feed any animals with that lunch and please make sure all garbage is disposed of in the dumpster or garbage can.
