March 18th

Hi all!

I hope you are all having a great week!  I've been enjoying my time with this sweet little baby:

It is EXTREMELY difficult to get work done when you have one of those!!

We still have two more does that are due sometime between now and next Wednesday, so one of them could very well go into labor this Friday. Standard disclaimer applies... should a doe go into labor on a Friday, all plans will be subject to change, and kids will be broken into PE and Gardening/Free Play while I make sure the doe is as comfortable as possible. Hopefully the pregnant ladies decide to deliver at a more convenient time. :-D

In the meantime...

Here is what is on the agenda for this week:

Schedule for Friday, March 18, 2022

From 10-Noon(ish) we will break into group activities:

Group A-- Ages 5-8

You will be doing Gardening this week. The wildflowers you planted a few weeks ago have started to sprout!  Come see those and learn more from Ms. Paula.  Please be prepared to get dirty. Don't wear your favorite shoes to the farm (probably not ever, but definitely not on garden days ;-) ). If you want to wear gardening gloves, please bring your own.

Materials Needed: A willingness to get dirty and a smile!

Group B-- Ages 9-12

You will be doing a Project this week. We have lots of eggs right now, so it's a great week to drop eggs from the top of a ladder. Hopefully you can keep them from breaking!  We'll see!

Materials Needed:

A willingness to work together. There is no "I" in TEAM! ;-)

Group C-- Ages 13-18

You will be doing PE this week. Kickball? Volleyball? Something new altogether? Who knows what Mr. D. will have planned on Friday? We just know it will be fun! Sunscreen and water bottles are recommended.

Materials Needed: Tennis shoes and comfortable clothes and water.

Remember beautiful people... if P.E. is not your thing, Ms. Paula could always use help in the Garden with our littlest friends. But should you choose this option, know that you will be expected to act like teachers and not like students. In other words, be prepared to work hard with loads of maturity!

Picnic Lunch

Everyone is welcome to stay and have a picnic lunch in the backyard area. You are responsible for bringing your own lunch. Please do not feed any animals with that lunch and please make sure all garbage is disposed of in the dumpster or garbage can.
