Water Day--July 22nd

Hi All!

First, I just wanted to show you all this really cool time-lapse video we took of a cicada emerging from its exoskeleton. We took it on Friday over the course of an hour. I would have liked to have kept it going until the cicada had changed colors and flew away, but it started to rain...

Second, we will be hosting a water day this Friday (July 22nd) from 10-noonish for anyone who wants to come.  We don't have pools or anything, so this will just be the kids playing in sprinklers and me running some water relay races/games, but if you all want to come and just hang out with your friends for a day, come on over!

Besides the normal Code of Conduct Rules, we will add in a bit of a water day "dress code". Wear clothes that you don't mind getting wet/muddy. Since modesty tends to vary from family to family, we want to be respectful of everyone. If you choose to wear swimsuits, we ask that everyone (boy and girl) is covered up (so shirts for boys and shirts/shorts for girls). Also, remember white shirts tend to be see-through, so keep that in mind with girls.

Materials Needed:

Drinking Water for your family
Towel (or air dry, I don't care!)
Food/snack if you want
Shoes that can be wet (or go barefoot like my kids!)
